„Te lovește un val brusc de întuneric”. NASA trimite un avion la 15.000 de metri altitudine pentru a culege informații despre Soare în timpul eclipsei

NASA is deploying a research aircraft at 15,000 meters to study the Sun during the total solar eclipse on August 12. This mission aims to extend the observation time of totality from 2 minutes and 18 seconds to nearly 3 minutes. The plane will fly from Iceland, tracking the eclipse's shadow at high speed. Equipped with four cameras, it will capture images of the Sun's corona and phenomena like prominences and nano-eruptions. These observations are crucial for scientific research, as they can only occur when the Sun's brightness is obscured by the Moon.
