Taxe centrale pe gaz: Românii vor plăti certificate CO2

Gheorghe Piperea warned that Romanians will face additional taxes for gas heating and thermal engines due to new EU regulations. He stated that by 2029, households using gas heating will pay around 45 euros annually for CO2 certificates. The EU's carbon pricing aims to penalize industrial pollution, impacting energy costs. Romania has been closing coal-fired power plants, reducing its energy capacity significantly. Delays in replacing these plants with modern gas units or solar parks may lead to increased energy imports during cold periods. The European Commission is monitoring Romania's energy supply closely.
