Taxarea marilor companii petroliere, cerută de 6 țări UE

Six EU member states, including Germany, Poland, and Italy, are advocating for an analysis of a tax on oil companies' profits to alleviate rising energy costs. This proposal, prompted by the ongoing conflict between the US and Iran, aims to ensure that companies benefiting from the energy crisis contribute to supporting the population. The ministers emphasize the need for a unified European approach to address the disproportionate profits of oil firms. They also request a swift analysis of refining margins to assess whether refineries have unduly profited from price increases. The proposal will be discussed at the upcoming informal meeting of EU finance ministers in September.
