The interim Minister of Transport, Radu Miruță, announced the removal of two tolls over the Danube at Fetești and Vadu Oii. This decision is part of the implementation of the TollRo system, which aims to modernize road usage fees based on vehicle pollution and distance traveled. Miruță credited his predecessor, Cătălin Drulă, for the initiative, which is funded by the PNRR. The new system is expected to be operational by October 1, allowing for better resource allocation within the CNAIR. Miruță emphasized that the PNRR not only provides significant funding but also helps streamline government operations, ensuring citizens are not overcharged for services.
