"Tartanul era tot valuri, te afundai în el când călcai". Noul pod hobanat din Arad intră în reparaţii la nouă luni de la inaugurare
The newly opened cable-stayed bridge in Arad, which cost 165 million lei, is undergoing repairs due to issues with the sidewalks and bike paths. These areas, covered with a rubber surface instead of asphalt, began to detach within six months of opening. While repairs are ongoing, one side of the bridge remains accessible for pedestrians and cyclists. The municipality is using funds from a 20 million lei guarantee held from the construction company to cover the repair costs. Complaints about the quality of the work have surfaced, with users expressing dissatisfaction over the rubber surface's condition. The bridge had structural issues even before its inauguration, leading to penalties for the contractor and adjustments to the design to alleviate weight and deformities.
