The Romanian government plans to unify TAROM Tehnic, ROMAERO, IAR Ghimbav, and Avioane Craiova under a common governance to form the National Aeronautical Group for maintenance and production in civil and military sectors. The restructuring of TAROM aims to attract a strategic investor while ensuring the airline's viability by 2026. Additionally, significant investments in the Port of Constanța and the construction of Terminal 2 at Otopeni Airport are proposed to enhance infrastructure and mobility. The government also seeks to modernize transport corridors for military mobility using European funding.
