TAROM a primit primul Boeing 737 MAX 8 din programul de reînnoire a flotei. Pe ce rute va zbura aeronava „Mircea Lucescu”
TAROM has received its first Boeing 737 MAX 8 as part of its fleet renewal program, presented at Henri Coandă International Airport. Named "Mircea Lucescu," the aircraft was directly acquired from Boeing in Seattle and arrived in Romania on September 8. The Secretary of State for Transport, Ionel Scrioșteanu, attended the unveiling, suggesting this could mark a new beginning for the airline. The new aircraft features advanced engines, seating for 189 passengers, and improved fuel efficiency with reduced carbon emissions. TAROM plans to modernize its fleet with four new Boeing 737s, having sold four older planes. A second MAX 8 is expected this month, named after sports legend Ivan Patzaichin.
