The EU has unlocked the European Peace Facility, allocating €4.7 billion to compensate member states for military supplies sent to Ukraine. This fund will reimburse a portion of the costs incurred by countries transferring their own military equipment. An additional €900 million will support the EU military assistance mission for Ukraine, while €1 billion is earmarked for new joint defense procurements. Sweden and Germany have expressed intentions to redirect their compensation funds to further support Ukraine. The total of €6.6 billion has been released from the European Peace Facility as of September 25.
