The Dutch central bank is relocating a significant portion of its gold reserves from the US and Canada to London due to rising geopolitical uncertainties. This move involves transferring 86 tons of gold, enhancing the bank's ability to react in emergencies. The president of De Nederlandsche Bank emphasized the need for increased preparedness in the current international context. Following the repositioning, the share of gold stored in the US and Canada decreased to 18.5%, while London now holds 32.1%.
