Transport companies in Romania are requesting an extension of the penalty-free period for the TollRo system until October 14, 2026, due to ongoing technical issues. The FORT federation highlighted that while some problems have been resolved, others persist, affecting communication with various systems and user payments. CNAIR acknowledged these technical incidents and stated that affected transporters would not face penalties, although the obligation to pay TollRo remains. FORT argues that the public pilot phase started on September 16 and should last at least four weeks to address non-compliance issues. They emphasize that honest transporters should not be penalized for system errors during this testing phase.
