Țara europeană unde efortul de cumpărare a unei case a crescut de 9 ori mai rapid decât în Zona Euro • Newsweek România

In Spain, the financial effort to purchase a home has surged by 88.6% since 1980, significantly outpacing the Eurozone average of 10%. This disparity between salary growth and skyrocketing real estate prices exacerbates the housing crisis, particularly in major cities like Madrid and Barcelona, where families need to save 9 to 10 years of income to buy an apartment. The gap between income and property values is widening, with housing prices projected to rise by 64% while salaries increase by only 27.4% by 2026. Additionally, many buyers are forced into risky mortgage loans, with 11% facing monthly payments exceeding 35% of their total income. The rental market is also becoming increasingly unaffordable, consuming half of the average salary.
