Tanczos Barna, avertisment după discuțiile cu fermierii: „Agricultura nu mai poate supraviețui la aceste prețuri”

The interim Minister of Agriculture, Tanczos Barna, warned that Romanian agriculture may become unsustainable due to rising fuel and fertilizer costs. He emphasized the need for prompt financial support for farmers to avoid compromising agricultural operations. During a meeting with representatives from the APPR, farmers expressed concerns over high production costs and delays in government support measures. Barna acknowledged these issues and highlighted the importance of timely assistance, stating that late payments would not resolve existing problems. Discussions also included compensation for fertilizer price increases and the DR-31 program for insurance premiums. Barna called for faster government action to prevent financial distress among farmers.
