He requested flexibility in export conditions and compensation for affected farmers due to these restrictions. Barna emphasized the need for a credible veterinary plan to regain trust in Romania's animal health system, which has been undermined. He highlighted the importance of demonstrating effective disease control and traceability to facilitate Romania's return to the sheep market. The minister also called for financial support for farmers facing income losses and the repopulation of farms impacted by disease outbreaks.
