Tânără de 18 ani, în stare gravă după ce ar fi contactat o bacterie la un festival
An 18-year-old girl is in critical condition after contracting a bacterial infection at a festival. She was transferred from Craiova to Bucharest on an ECMO machine, marking a first in Romania. Initially, she showed symptoms after returning from the beach, where she had contact with a friend who had viral meningitis. Despite being stabilized, her condition worsened, leading to complications. Medical teams from Bucharest intervened to initiate ECMO therapy before her transport. Currently, she remains in serious condition but stable, with ongoing monitoring. The transmission of enteroviruses can occur through poor hygiene and respiratory droplets, especially in crowded settings.
