The suspect, a 30-year-old repeat offender under electronic monitoring, was quickly apprehended by police. The incident occurred early Friday morning when the victim was approached by the assailant, who requested a ride in exchange for money. At a traffic light, the assailant asked for the victim's phone to make a call, then attacked him and fled with the device.
