Sute de tineri au primit terenuri la Sibiu printr-o lege veche de 23 de ani: cum funcționează
Despite a law providing free land for young people to build homes, most local authorities in Romania do not implement it. The lack of centralized data and reluctance from authorities hinder access to this support. The law, enacted in 2003, allows individuals aged 18 to 35 to request land from their local municipality, but its application relies solely on local administrations' willingness. The Ministry of Development lacks centralized records of land allocations, and many young people face bureaucratic obstacles. While some areas have successfully allocated land, many others experience stagnation or blockages due to insufficient available land or administrative hurdles.
