Up to 6 million people are expected to travel to witness the event, with over 33,500 police mobilized for safety. Unique experiences are offered, including flights to view the eclipse from above the clouds and special events in wineries and on cruises. NASA is conducting research flights to study the eclipse's effects on the atmosphere, while Iceland expects around 80,000 visitors for its own celebrations.
