These engineered structures cover 337.2 hectares and extend 112 kilometers across several counties. They serve as effective barriers against snowstorms, enhancing road safety. The selection of tree species is crucial for resilience against drought and strong winds. Since 2018, over 200 hectares of protective forest belts have been established, proving to be a cost-effective alternative to traditional snow barriers.
