Between March and August, 242 children were treated at Grigore Alexandrescu Hospital in Bucharest due to electric scooter accidents, with over a third requiring hospitalization. Approximately 10% were admitted to Intensive Care with severe injuries, primarily among children aged 10 to 15. The injuries varied from cranial and abdominal trauma to orthopedic issues, necessitating specialized surgical interventions. The use of electric scooters is banned in parks managed by the Bucharest City Hall, with fines for violations reaching up to 500 lei.
