Suspiciuni privind mafia chineză în Portul Constanța. Procuror european: „Autorităţile suferă de o lipsă a transmiterii informaţiilor”

European prosecutor Cătălin Borcoman expressed concerns about the lack of information sharing from Romanian authorities regarding the Port of Constanța, where Chinese mafia activities are suspected. He noted that while the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) has received some reports from ANAF related to VAT fraud, no specific reports about Constanța have been submitted. Borcoman emphasized the need for cooperation from national authorities to initiate investigations, as EPPO cannot conduct physical inspections. He remains hopeful that Romanian authorities will become more open in sharing information, which is crucial for addressing organized crime and related financial frauds.
