Twenty-six students from Căiuți School in Bacău County showed digestive symptoms, raising suspicions of a collective food poisoning incident. An 8-year-old child is hospitalized, and the ANSVSA activated the Red Intervention Plan following the incident. The affected students had consumed pasta with tomato sauce, chicken, and apple as part of the 'Hot Meal' program, provided by a catering company from Adjud. Following inspections, the Bacău DSVSA suspended the catering company's operations and imposed a fine of 65,000 lei. ANSVSA emphasizes the importance of food safety for children and is conducting further investigations to determine the cause of the symptoms.
