SURSE | Guvernul pregătește o nouă intervenție pe piața carburanților
The Romanian government is considering a dynamic excise tax on fuel in response to supply chain disruptions and oil flow interruptions from Kazakhstan. This new mechanism would allow for rapid adjustments based on market conditions, replacing the temporary VAT reduction previously proposed. Finance Minister Alexandru Nazare is set to coordinate with former Energy Minister Bogdan Ivan to align legislative efforts. The dynamic excise could range from 5% to 25%, aiming to achieve similar effects as the VAT intervention.
