Daniil Medvedev, the top seed, was eliminated in the second round of the ATP Winston Salem tournament by American Martin Damm. Medvedev lost with a score of 5-7, 3-6, following a previous surprising defeat in Cincinnati. He is currently ranked 8th in the ATP and is set to compete in the upcoming US Open.
