Surpriză! UDMR nu vrea să intre la guvernare SURSE

The UDMR party is willing to support the Niculescu government in Parliament but does not want to have ministers in the cabinet. They prefer not to be part of a minority government alongside PSD, while PNL, USR, and AUR remain in opposition. UDMR continues to advocate for a coalition under independent Prime Minister Luca Niculescu, but PNL and USR refuse to join forces with PSD. A mixed government of technocrats and UDMR ministers is a possible negotiation option, but UDMR is hesitant to be solely associated with PSD. Even without ministers, UDMR will retain its current state secretaries and prefects in Hungarian-majority areas, maintaining influence in a hybrid form. PSD is considering a similar approach, potentially voting for the government without holding ministerial positions, while keeping their state secretaries and local leaders.
