Germany has dropped to fourth place, reflecting significant changes in visitor demographics. Ivan Groșev, president of the tourism agencies association, highlighted ongoing structural challenges, including limited air connectivity and a need for stronger government support. He emphasized the importance of a more effective national tourism strategy to remain competitive. Additionally, the domestic tourism market shows potential, particularly with the Tourism Festival in Plovdiv, although high accommodation prices may deter visitors.
