Surpriza din contractul semnat de România pentru 32 de avioane F-16 din Norvegia, care s-au făcut 35
Romania has received additional F-16 aircraft from Norway as compensation for delays in the delivery of 32 fighter jets purchased in 2022. Initially, 32 F-16s were to be delivered by the end of 2025, but only 21 have arrived so far. The Romanian Ministry of Defense confirmed that negotiations led to the acquisition of three extra aircraft for ground training. The first of these is expected to be delivered between late 2026 and early 2027. Romania currently operates 38 F-16s and plans to increase its fleet to 67, including additional aircraft from the Netherlands. The country aims to transition to fifth-generation F-35 jets after 2030.
