Romania has launched the RO AI Factory, an infrastructure aimed at developing artificial intelligence, including an AI-optimized supercomputer. Researchers, companies, and public administration will gain access to computing resources and tools for developing and testing new AI models and applications. The project, part of the EuroHPC initiative, aims to create a network of AI-dedicated infrastructures. It will support various sectors such as health, agriculture, and energy, and focus on empowering small and medium enterprises to become active AI solution developers. The initiative emphasizes the need for a national capacity in AI development, connected to European infrastructures.
