In rural areas of western Romania, access to medical specialists often involves long waiting times, leading to late disease diagnoses. To address this, the Timișoara branch of the Caravana cu Medici Association organizes multidisciplinary medical caravans and offers free screenings through the 'Fără Diabet' program. Dr. Marian Morenci emphasized the need for such initiatives, especially in isolated communities. The association also launched a project to install 30 automated external defibrillators in hard-to-reach areas, highlighting the importance of timely medical intervention. Prevention remains crucial in combating chronic diseases, and Morenci encourages regular medical check-ups.
