Authorities began their inquiry following his TV appearance, leading to scrutiny of a sports association he managed. The association allegedly failed to report around €377,000 in income over five years, exploiting tax benefits for non-profit entities. Investigators found that the association used a billing system to underreport activities and diverted significant funds through equipment rentals. Consequently, the association was reclassified as a commercial enterprise, losing its tax privileges.
