Suedia declară război „substanțelor chimice eterne”

Sweden will ban PFAS substances in consumer products starting January 1, 2028, ahead of EU regulations. The Swedish Environment Minister emphasized the need for alternatives to these harmful chemicals. The legislation will cover various daily-use items, including clothing, cookware, cosmetics, and ski wax. PFAS, known as 'forever chemicals', are persistent in the environment and linked to health risks. Sweden's temporary measure signals future EU legislation, which is expected to propose broad restrictions by 2027, impacting manufacturers across member states.
