Suedia anunță că a dejucat o operațiune a serviciilor secrete ruse. Țintele erau NATO și Uniunea Europeană

The Swedish Security Service, Säpo, announced it thwarted a Russian intelligence operation aimed at influencing decision-making in Sweden. The operation allegedly sought to undermine NATO and the EU's image. Säpo reported that the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service coordinated the operation, which involved an agent from a foreign diplomatic mission in Sweden. The goal was to gather information on Swedish decision-making processes to facilitate influence operations on divisive societal issues. Säpo intervened after identifying suspicious activities, taking measures to protect vital interests. This incident is significant in light of Sweden's recent NATO membership, prompted by security concerns following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
