The U.S. has approved arms sales worth $6.1 billion to Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Iraq, enhancing regional defense capabilities. The largest deal, valued at $5 billion, involves Saudi Arabia, aimed at improving its air defense against regional threats. This move supports U.S. foreign policy and national security objectives by bolstering an important ally outside NATO. Oman will purchase maintenance services for F-16s, while Iraq is set to acquire Bell 412EPX helicopters for $150 million. Congressional approval is still required for the Saudi deal.
