SUA: Trump aprobă folosirea plutonului de execuție pentru prima dată din 1945
President Donald Trump has approved the use of a firing squad for the execution of Nidal Malik Hasan, the Fort Hood shooter, marking the first military execution by firing squad since World War II. The Pentagon announced that Secretary of the Army Pete Hegseth recommended this method, which Trump accepted. Hasan, a former Army psychiatrist, killed 13 soldiers and injured 32 in the 2009 attack. He was sentenced to death in 2013 after a jury unanimously found him guilty of premeditated murder. The Army Secretary will determine the execution date and location. Hasan claimed his actions were to protect Muslims and Taliban in Afghanistan. He is one of four inmates on the U.S. military death row, with the last military execution by firing squad occurring in 1945.
