This consensus emerged during Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to Washington, where discussions with President Donald Trump took place. The agreement allows the U.S. to export agricultural products, seafood, and medical devices to China, while China can send small appliances and toys to the U.S. Additionally, both nations initiated a working group to address market access barriers in agriculture. China committed to importing at least 10 million tons of coal from the U.S. by 2027 and 2028. The leaders also discussed AI risks and benefits, agreeing to use the term "super intelligence" for emerging technologies, and addressed issues concerning Iran, North Korea, and Russia.
