SUA și Arabia Saudită semnează un acord privind energia nucleară civilă. Riadul va putea îmbogăți uraniu
The United States and Saudi Arabia have signed a civil nuclear cooperation agreement, allowing Riyadh to build reactors and enrich uranium using American technology. This '123 Agreement' establishes a legal framework for nuclear collaboration and includes security guarantees. It aims to enhance U.S. nuclear technology exports, create jobs, and strengthen strategic ties. Unlike previous agreements, this one permits Saudi uranium enrichment, raising concerns about nuclear proliferation. The deal will be sent to Congress for review, amid rising tensions in the Middle East.
