SUA impune sancțiuni împotriva întregului sector aviatic al Iranului - Economica.net
The U.S. government has imposed sanctions on Iran's entire aviation sector, threatening secondary sanctions on third-party entities collaborating with Iranian airlines. The Treasury Department announced that all Iranian airlines, including Mahan Air and Iran Air, are now under economic sanctions due to their alleged involvement in transporting illegal goods. Additionally, the U.S. has suspended waivers for non-American companies flying to Iran with U.S.-made aircraft. The sanctions target companies from the UAE and Turkey accused of facilitating Mahan Air's acquisition of Boeing 777s. Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent warned that those supporting Iranian airlines risk exclusion from the global financial system. Amid ongoing negotiations with Iran, the U.S. is prioritizing economic warfare over military action, aiming to pressure Iran into compliance regarding its nuclear program and maritime activities.
