SUA contribuie la finanțarea lucrărilor de restaurare a castelului natal al marchizului de La Fayette, unul dintre eroii francezi ai Războiului de Independență - Economica.net

The United States honored Marquis de Lafayette by funding restoration work at his ancestral castle in France, marking a significant cultural preservation effort. The ceremony took place in Chavaniac-Lafayette, attended by local officials and U.S. diplomats. This is the first grant from the Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation for a French site, amounting to $235,000 for garden restoration and collection conservation. Participants celebrated Lafayette's role in Franco-American friendship by planting roses named after him and George Washington. Lafayette, born in 1757, joined the American Revolutionary War at 19, becoming a key ally of Washington and contributing to the victory at Yorktown, which led to U.S. independence.
