The U.S. has extended three special licenses for the Serbian oil company NIS until October 30, 2026, crucial for its operations and negotiations regarding Russian ownership. These licenses, issued by OFAC, support NIS's operational activities, including refining and oil imports. The extension allows the Pančevo refinery to continue production, especially important as Serbia approaches winter. Discussions between OFAC and MOL regarding a potential acquisition are ongoing, with more time needed for completion. Additionally, a license for the Croatian company JANAF ensures continued oil transport to NIS.
