The United States and Romania celebrated the delivery of nine amphibious assault vehicles (AAVs), enhancing defense cooperation and NATO security in the Black Sea region. The AAVs, designed for transporting troops and equipment during amphibious operations, will undergo specialized training in Babadag, Tulcea County. U.S. Ambassador Darryl Nirenberg emphasized the importance of this partnership and the role of the U.S. Marine Corps in logistics and operational expertise. The AAV7A1 can carry up to 21 Marines and is built for challenging terrains, marking a significant investment in Romania's defense infrastructure.
