A study by Tavex Romania reveals that real estate and gold are viewed by Romanians as the best assets for protecting savings against inflation. Romania has the highest homeownership rate in the EU, with 94% of Romanians owning their homes. The study indicates that 21% of savers believe real estate is the best way to preserve purchasing power, while 20% favor gold and precious metals. Additionally, 86% of respondents prioritize financial security over high returns when saving. Investors have various options available, including stocks, ETFs, bonds, Bitcoin, gold, and real estate, each with different risk levels.
