STUDIU: Schimbările vocii ar putea fi un semn timpuriu al demenței
A recent study from Drexel University suggests a link between voice quality changes and increased risk of cognitive decline or dementia in older adults. Analyzing data from over 833,000 participants aged 50 and above, researchers found that those with voice disorders had a significantly higher risk of developing cognitive issues. The strongest association was noted in individuals with both voice disorders and hearing loss. While the study indicates a correlation, it does not establish causation, meaning changes in voice do not guarantee cognitive decline. The findings highlight the need for further research into the relationship between voice quality and cognitive health.
