A recent study reveals that Romanians primarily associate walking with physical health, neglecting its mental benefits. Only 12% engage in hiking, despite those who do reporting higher energy and life satisfaction. The research indicates a lack of understanding regarding the mental health advantages of walking, with many viewing it merely as a physical exercise. Additionally, a significant portion of the population exhibits addictive behaviors, often seeking immediate rewards instead of healthier coping mechanisms. MedLife plans to launch an observational project to further explore the impact of walking on physical and emotional health.
