Studiu Roland Berger: România a trecut de 10.000 de puncte de încărcare pentru mașini electrice, dar stațiile sunt utilizate doar 4-5%

In August 2026, Romania surpassed 10,000 public charging points for electric vehicles, but usage remains low at 4-5%. The number of ultra-fast charging stations has increased significantly, growing over 45 times in four years. The charging infrastructure has expanded rapidly, outpacing the growth of electric vehicles. Despite this progress, Romania's adoption of electric vehicles lags behind Western Europe, with only 8.2% of new car registrations being fully electric. The market for used electric vehicles is also growing, with a notable increase in registrations. Chinese electric vehicle brands have gained market share, representing 22% of new electric car sales. Government programs are crucial for further development in this sector.
