STUDIU: Plimbările zilnice și un ritm de mers mai alert pot preveni moartea prematură
A recent study in the British Journal of Sports Medicine indicates that both the number of daily steps and walking pace can significantly reduce premature mortality and cardiovascular-related deaths. Researchers found that combinations of daily step counts and walking intensity are linked to lower death risks. Analyzing data from 64,743 middle-aged participants in the UK Biobank, they discovered that walking between 7,500 and 10,000 steps daily decreases the risk of early death. Additionally, maintaining a brisk pace of 90 steps per minute for at least 30 minutes is beneficial, regardless of total steps. For sedentary individuals, increasing walking speed can substantially lower mortality risks.
