Studiu: Persoanele care consumă carne au șanse mai mari să trăiască până la 100 de ani, dar există o condiție

Research indicates that women over 80 who consume meat have a higher likelihood of reaching 100 years compared to vegetarians. The study, involving over 5,000 participants, found no significant link between vegetarianism and longevity in men. Additionally, women who are underweight and vegetarian had lower chances of living to 100. Those who included fish, dairy, or eggs in their vegetarian diet had similar longevity prospects as meat-eaters. The findings suggest that adequate calorie and nutrient intake is crucial for elderly women to enhance their lifespan. The study highlights the importance of body mass index (BMI) in understanding longevity.
