STUDIU: Oamenii care trăiesc peste 100 de ani au o concentrație mare a unor celule ale sistemului imunitar

Researchers found that people over 100 have a high concentration of CD4 CTL immune cells, which can attack tumors. This study, led by Kosuke Hashimoto, analyzed blood samples from 28 individuals across different age groups. The results showed that those over 110 had about 20% of these cells in their blood, compared to only 4% in younger participants. CD4 CTLs are crucial for fighting infections and tumors, suggesting a link between these cells and healthy aging.
