Studiu îngrijorător. Un îndulcitor folosit în numeroase produse, asociat cu un risc mai mare de infarct și AVC
A commonly used sweetener, xylitol, has been linked to increased risks of stroke, heart attack, and death. A study involving 17,710 participants found that high blood xylitol levels correlated with a 57% higher risk of cardiovascular events over six years. This association persisted regardless of age, sex, or other health factors. Researchers highlighted that previous studies suggested xylitol may enhance platelet clotting ability. Despite being perceived as healthier than sugar, the long-term effects of artificial sweeteners like xylitol remain under-researched.
