STUDIU Hoții fug de mașinile electrice, preferă automobilele pe benzină și motorină. Care ar putea fi motivele • Newsweek România

According to the National Insurance Crime Bureau, car thefts in the U.S. dropped by 23% in 2025, attributed partly to thieves avoiding electric vehicles. Experts suggest that electric cars are less likely to be stolen due to factors like being parked in garages for charging, built-in surveillance systems, and a lack of demand for stolen parts. Additionally, the heavy batteries of electric vehicles pose a challenge for thieves. The Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 was the most stolen car, while the Tesla Model 3 had the lowest theft rate.
