STUDIU: Femeile tratate cu terapia celulară CAR-T pentru diverse boli autoimune pot rămâne însărcinate ulterior în condiţii de siguranţă

A small clinical study suggests that women treated with CAR-T cell therapy for autoimmune diseases can safely become pregnant. Initially used for cancer, CAR-T therapy is now being tested for autoimmune conditions affecting women of childbearing age. The study monitored 14 pregnancies in 13 women who underwent CAR-T therapy, all conceived naturally. Results showed all babies born so far are healthy, with no complications linked to CAR-T cells. Five additional pregnancies are ongoing, indicating promising outcomes for future pregnancies in this patient group.
