STUDIU: Cu cât dormitorul este mai întunecat în timpul nopții, cu atât inima ar putea fi mai sănătoasă
A recent study indicates that exposure to light at night may negatively impact heart health. Researchers followed over 11,000 individuals, noting changes in heart structure and function linked to nighttime light exposure. The study found that those exposed to higher light levels showed thickening of the left ventricle walls, which can reduce its internal space and affect the heart's ability to relax. While the findings suggest a correlation, they do not establish a direct cause-and-effect relationship between nighttime light and cardiovascular diseases. Experts recommend minimizing light exposure in bedrooms to promote heart health, including using blackout curtains and reducing screen time after sunset.
